Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join the water team with flexible base options at Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow or Edinburgh.

You will lead hydrogeological projects, advise clients, mentor junior colleagues, and work across field, modelling and regulatory contexts. We support chartership and offer hybrid working and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• MSc in Hydrogeology or a relevant PhD, or substantial post-graduate experience delivering hydrogeology projects.
• Experience leading hydrogeological studies and communicating findings to clients.
• Ability to navigate regulatory and policy environments and work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver hydrogeological work across a range of project types.
• Guide field monitoring, drilling supervision, pumping test design and analysis.
• Engage in data analytics and numerical groundwater modelling, geochemical analysis, and interpretation.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team development.
