Job summary

Stantec in the UK is recruiting a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our water team. Based across multiple offices (Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow or Edinburgh), you will lead hydrogeological projects and contribute to multidisciplinary teams delivering real environmental outcomes.

You will mentor junior colleagues, manage data carefully, and apply quantitative analysis and modelling to groundwater challenges, with opportunities to develop towards chartership.

Qualifications

• Hydrogeology MSc, PhD, or substantial post-graduate experience delivering hydrogeology projects.
• Ability to navigate regulatory, business and policy environment and communicate with clients confidently.
• Strong written and verbal communication, data handling and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrogeological work across a range of project types and deliver outcomes for clients.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients who rely on your judgment.
• Develop the next generation of hydrogeologists with junior colleagues and learn from experienced practitioners.
• Provide field-based monitoring, drilling supervision, pumping test design and analysis.
