Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to lead installation and maintenance projects across Randburg and the greater Gauteng region. You will supervise teams, diagnose complex HVAC issues, and ensure installations meet design specs, safety standards, and client expectations.

The role requires extensive experience with commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, VAV/AHU, and VRF, along with strong leadership and client liaison skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in commercial HVAC installation and maintenance.
• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• F-Gas certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects to ensure high-quality execution.
• Install, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems including chillers and VRF.
• Read blueprints and technical specs for installations.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
• System commissioning and performance testing post-installation.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
• Manage project materials and equipment efficiently.
• Liaise with clients and project managers to ensure project success.
