Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering, a leading international engineering services contractor, seeks an Electrical Quantity Surveyor with substations experience to support the commercial delivery of high voltage projects from Glasgow. The role covers cost control, contract administration, valuations and project financial management to ensure cost-effective delivery.

Qualifications

3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying, coupled with a technical background in Electrical/Instrumentation (advantageous)
Proficient in Excel
Excellent Communication/Interpersonal Skills
Excellent Record Keeping and Administration Skills

Responsibilities

Cost control and valuation across HV projects, focusing on substations and switchgear
Administer contracts, interim valuations and final accounts
Manage subcontractor accounts and payments per contracts
Prepare accurate back-ups for commercial tracking and costing
Collaborate with Planning for progress reporting accuracy
Identify and report commercial risks to Senior Management
