Job summary

Equans is seeking a Secondary & Protection Control Engineer to design, implement and test protection schemes for HV connections up to 132 kV. The role focuses on protecting people and equipment while meeting DNO/IDNO and G99 requirements.

You will work within the Energy Solutions ICP team on renewable energy projects across the UK, with hands-on relay setting, grading studies, and schema drawings; requires 5+ years of experience and a degree in Electrical/Power Engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Power Engineering.
• 5+ years in protection and control design or commissioning at distribution voltages.
• Hands-on experience producing relay settings and grading studies.

Responsibilities

• Own protection design for HV grid connections (11-132 kV).
• Coordinate relay settings with fault level studies and equipment ratings.
• Ensure designs meet DNO/IDNO protection policy and G99 requirements.
