Job summary

VEV is seeking a High Voltage Project Manager to lead HV elements of electrification programs for fleet customers across sectors. You will oversee HV design, grid connections, substations, and turnkey delivery from planning through handover to operations.

The role involves working with DNOs, ICPs, designers and delivery partners to safely bring complex electrical infrastructure into service and ensure regulatory compliance. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management, ideally HV electrical infra, grid connections, utilities or EV/renewable sectors.
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Strong technical understanding of HV infrastructure and its integration with EV charging and renewables.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee HV projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve objectives across departments.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and address issues.
• Provide clear project updates and reporting to stakeholders.
• Oversee HV infrastructure delivery including substations, transformers, switchgear and interfaces.
• Coordinate HV design, connections, energisation plans with DNOs/ICPs and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and policies.
• Promote quality and continuous improvement across the programme.
