Job summary

Eclipse Power is seeking a Senior Network/Lead/Primary Design Engineer to provide technical design leadership for HV and EHV projects across the UK. You will oversee design requirements from award through to adoption, liaising with ICPs, DNOs, developers, and internal teams.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will review 132kV designs, develop POC concepts, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, manage risks, and support the engineering department through gates and

Qualifications

5+ years electrical distribution engineering experience.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong organisation and workload prioritisation.
Knowledge of regulatory and legislative compliance including health, safety and environment.
Experience in transmission voltage design at 275kV and 400kV.

Responsibilities

Carry out design assurance for new networks submitted by Developers and ICPs for adoption by Eclipse.
Review primary system and network design packages covering electrical, protection and civils for voltages up to 132kV.
Create and develop electricity network designs including POCs to company and industry standards.
Ensure all networks adopted by Eclipse comply with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Support the Engineering Department with stage/gate processes, KPI targets and controls.
Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, Developers and land rights teams to secure approvals and approvals.
Provide technical support to the Engineering team and wider business as required.
