Job summary

Arup is seeking a Chartered Electrical Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams on high‑voltage transmission projects in the UK. You will oversee design, assurance, and integration of electrical works across substations, protection, SCADA, earthing and interfaces with civil disciplines.

Qualifications

• Chartered Electrical Engineer with leadership experience in major transmission projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary electrical design teams and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across HV electrical design for UK projects.
• Lead design assurance, integration, and governance across electrical packages.
• Manage risk, reviews, and sign-off for complex electrical designs.
• Mentor and develop engineers, and lead onboarding for new team members.
• Engage with National Grid and stakeholders in governance forums and bids.
