Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking a senior engineering leader for HV/EHV substations to act as technical authority on design, protection & control, governance and design assurance. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across major grid projects in the UK.

You will drive FEED, detailed design, construction support and commissioning, coordinating with civil, protection & control, cables and commissioning disciplines while interfacing with clients and contractors to enable growth and delivery.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
Proven ability to make complex technical decisions.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for HV/EHV primary and secondary substation engineering.
Oversee design quality, engineering standards, compliance and technical assurance reviews.
Lead FEED, detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
Coordinate civil, structural, protection & control, cables and commissioning disciplines.
Act as senior interface with clients, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
Develop engineers through mentoring and competency management.
Support bids, proposals and strategic growth initiatives.
