Job summary

Elevation HR is partnering with a construction client in Sheffield to appoint a Senior HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves hybrid working with travel to multiple sites across the North West and Yorkshire, and a salary up to £42,000 plus a £5,700 car allowance.

You will lead complex ER cases, drive engagement initiatives, influence leadership, and shape regional people plans with analytics to identify risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ generalist HR experience, ideally at Senior Advisor level, with CIPD Level 5.
• Experience in construction, civil engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries.
• Strong employee relations skills with the ability to coach, influence and challenge managers.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, autonomous with ability to travel regionally and hold a UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations cases, providing expert guidance while coaching managers to build capability and confidence
• Drive engagement initiatives including surveys, culture, wellbeing, and inclusion to enhance employee experience
• Contribute to performance, development, and change initiatives, including training delivery, talent mapping, and organisational projects
• Partner with the Senior Leadership Management team to shape and deliver the regional people plan aligned to business objectives
• Use people data and analytics to produce insightful reporting, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
• Lead workforce planning, organisational design, and succession planning to support current and future business needs
• Support recruitment and resourcing activity, working closely with hiring managers on workforce and capability planning

Elevation HR are excited to be partnering with one of our construction clients to appoint a Senior HR Advisor to join their HR team, based in Sheffield on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role offers hybrid working and will require some travel to different sites across the North West and Yorkshire which gives you the ability to really see the value added across the business plus fantastic exposure at HR Business Partnering level.

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 3 years’ generalist HR experience, ideally at Senior Advisor level, with CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within construction, civil enginering, manufacturing, logistics or similar industries
• Strong employee relations expertise with the confidence to coach, influence, and challenge managers at all levels
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator; able to work autonomously, travel regionally, and hold a full UK driving licence
