Job summary

Pineapple Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a fantastic organisation seeking a commercially minded Senior HR Advisor to provide high-quality advisory services across a broad portfolio of clients and deliver solution-focused advice on complex casework, policy development, and organisational change.

The role requires CIPD qualifications or equivalent experience, extensive education sector know-how, and strong negotiation and TUPE skills to support schools and academies within UK employment law.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualified (Level 5 or 7) or equivalent depth of professional experience.
• Senior HR advisory experience, preferably in education or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and education-specific frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and trade union consultation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise on complex employee relations cases (discipline, grievances, capability).
• Interpret education-specific conditions of service and advise accordingly.
• Guide TUPE, restructures, and academy conversions.
• Draft and update HR policies in line with UK employment law.
• Client relations and bespoke HR training design and delivery.

Pineapple is delighted to be partnering with a fantastic organisation who are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Senior HR Advisor to provide high-quality advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients and delivering solution-focused advice across complex casework, policy development, organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Advisory & Casework: Lead and advise on complex employee relations cases, including discipline, grievance, capability, safeguarding/allegations, and sickness absence management.
• Education & Employment Frameworks: Interpret and apply education-specific conditions of service.
• Change Management & TUPE: Guide client organisations through restructures, consultations, and complex TUPE processes (e.g., Academy conversions).
• Strategic Policy Development: Draft and update fit-for-purpose HR policies in alignment with evolving UK employment law, consulting directly with trade union representatives.
• Client Relations & Commercial Growth: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, and design and deliver bespoke HR training for client organisations.

Key Requirements:

• CIPD qualified (Level 5 or 7) or equivalent depth of professional experience.
• Proven track record in a Senior HR Advisory role within the education sector (schools/academies), local government, or a shared services/consultancy environment would be a huge benefit.
• In-depth working knowledge of UK employment law and education-specific frameworks.
• Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, and trade union consultation skills.
