Job summary

Systems Engineering & Assessment Ltd is seeking a Senior Human Factors Engineer to provide HF knowledge across a growing portfolio of naval and safety-critical projects. The role focuses on integrating HF into design lifecycles, producing artefacts and aligning with customer requirements.

The candidate will lead HF integration across products, liaise with engineering teams, and present HF findings to senior stakeholders while working on-site at the Bristol, Beckington or Barnstaple locations

Qualifications

• Degree in Ergonomics/Human Factors or engineering with HF specialization, or equivalent experience.
• Defence or safety-critical industry experience and deliverables to DEF STAN 00-251 or equivalent HF standards.
• Experience leading Human Factors Integration on defence or safety-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Human Factors Integration (HFI) delivery across SEA products and projects.
• Input to SEA's HFI approach and ensure artefacts are produced throughout the lifecycle.
• Interface with internal and external stakeholders; communicate complex HF concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Plan, estimate and deliver HF work packages from bid/concept through design and in-service support.
