Job summary

SEA is seeking a Senior Human Factors Engineer to lead HFI activities across naval and related projects. The role is based at one of SEA's sites and requires onsite presence two days per week.

The salary is around £60k, depending on experience, with hybrid working arrangements. You will work with engineers from multiple disciplines, produce HF artefacts, and ensure usability and safety requirements are met from bid to in-service support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ergonomics, HF, Psychology or Engineering with HF specialization.
• Experience in defence or safety-critical industries delivering HF work.
• Ability to present HF findings to multidisciplinary and senior audiences.
• Experience leading HF Integration in defence or safety-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Human Factors Integration (HFI) delivery across SEA products and projects.
• Input to HFI approach and execute it within assigned products.
• Influence design to ensure SEA products are easy to use and meet HF requirements.
• Plan, estimate and deliver HF work packages across the project lifecycle.
