Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Human Factors Consultant to lead multi-project delivery for rail infrastructure and rolling stock programmes. You will guide clients, manage resources and ensure high-quality HF integration from bids to completion.

You will deliver human performance assessments and design solutions, collaborating with clients such as Network Rail, Hitachi, RSSB and TfL to support safety, efficiency and accessibility across complex infrastructure programmes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or master's degree in a related field (Human Factors/Ergonomics/Psychology/Systems Engineering).
• Chartered member status with CIEHF or evidence of equivalent competencies within short term.
• Genuine interest in optimizing human performance with modules in ergonomics, HMI, psychology, or related topics.
• Minimum of five years as a Human Factors adviser in complex, high-reliability environments; at least two years in rail.
• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Human Factors Integration planning and deliver progressive assurance activities.
• Manage HF issues/risks and derive design requirements.
• Coordinate industry standards and best practices in HF activities and methodologies.
• Scope and deliver HF tasks including task analysis, workload, HMI design, alerts and alarms management.
