Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a proactive HSE Manager for a major food manufacturing site in Halifax. You will lead the EHS strategy, drive compliance, and champion a safety-first culture for 500+ personnel on site.

The role requires NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, proven EHS management in FMCG/food manufacturing, and strong knowledge of ISO 45001/14001 with leadership experience to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level H&S qualification.
• Demonstrable EHS management experience in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and ability to drive compliance.
• Proven leadership to influence behaviours and champion safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's EHS strategy and drive a safety-first culture.
• Define and develop site-wide EHS priorities and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver EHS systems and training to empower leaders on safety and environment.
• Raise standards through audits, regulatory collaboration and external partnerships.
