Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is recruiting a Health and Safety Manager for a major infrastructure project in the North East Lincolnshire area on a 2-year freelance contract. You will lead the development and delivery of the HSW strategy, manage the on-site team and ensure compliance with UK law, client requirements and management systems.

The role demands extensive experience on major construction or infrastructure projects, typically with NEBOSH qualifications, and strong leadership,

Qualifications

• Extensive HSW leadership on major construction projects.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent; Chartered status preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and audits.
• Experience with incident reporting and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of the project's HSW strategy.
• Manage HSW team and coordinate with cross-functional groups.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and systems.
• Lead inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Act as principal HSW advisor to project leadership.
• Develop and maintain project HSW plans and safe systems.
• Investigate incidents and monitor HSW performance.
• Deliver high-quality HSW training across the team.
• Collaborate with construction, engineering and commercial teams.
