Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor (Transmission Projects) in Blantyre. You will guide 240 project teams, support 350 employees and 800–1000 contractors, ensuring CDM 2015 compliance and proactive H&S management across multi‑million pound projects.

The role requires an EQF Level 5–8 H&S degree, IOSH IPD/CPD, and a successful track record in engineering or construction safety. Hybrid working is offered with weekends off, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety (EQF level 5–8).
• IPD/CPD participation with IOSH membership.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional H&S direction to project teams and senior management.
• Support governance and assurance of H&S within areas of responsibility.
• Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations; provide professional advice.
