Job summary

SEDR Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support a major civil engineering project in the South East with nationwide travel. The role includes leading HSE activities, mentoring Advisors and ensuring compliance on site and with clients.

You will work with Contracts Director and Senior HSE Manager to strengthen safety standards and deliver robust risk management across a portfolio of projects, with long-term development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma required or equivalent.
• IOSH membership or working towards Chartered status is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE activities on the project, ensuring client and workforce compliance.
• Mentor HSE Advisors and set performance targets.
• Assist in preparing PMPs, Construction Phase Plans and HSE measures.
• Develop RAMS and Permit to Dig arrangements and deliver toolbox talks.
• Provide HSE inductions, incident investigations and reporting.
• Coach site teams on risk control and regulatory compliance.
• Represent HSE in client meetings with clear performance updates.
• Travel to projects across the UK as required.
