Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an HR Manager in Stirling to lead the end-to-end HR function across the business, with external HR providers and the leadership team. The role combines operational HR support with compliance and people management, including payroll collaboration with the Finance team.

You will oversee the full employee lifecycle, advise managers on policies, maintain GDPR records, support appraisal and succession, and act as a cultural champion in a multi-site SME.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a standalone or lead HR role, ideally within an SME or multi-site business.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Confident supporting end-to-end payroll in-house.
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, support, and coach line managers.
• CIPD qualification preferred.
• Discreet, professional, and able to handle sensitive information with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end HR across the business with external providers and the leadership team.
• Oversee monthly payroll accurately, including deductions and benefits.
• Advise on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
• Maintain GDPR-compliant employee records and secure file storage.
• Support the MD with board-related activities and executive PA duties.
