Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit a Senior HR Generalist. The role is open to full-time or part-time employment and offers a hybrid/flexible working pattern in Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate will provide practical HR advice, handle complex employee relations matters and contribute to key people projects while mentoring junior colleagues and supporting recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes.

Qualifications

• Experience across HR and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of NI employment legislation.
• Ability to advise managers and senior stakeholders on complex matters.
• CIPD Level 7 or willing to study for it.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice across employee relations and general HR matters.
• Support disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance cases.
• Review HR processes and implement improvements.
• Develop policies, contracts and HR toolkits.
• Advise on recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management and offboarding.

Senior HR Generalist - Permanent - Open to part-time

MCS Group is be partnering with a growing organisation as they recruit a Senior HR Generalist to join their team. This role can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis.

The role:

This is a brilliant opportunity to take on a varied role, supporting a diverse range of people issues with practical HR advice, complex employee relations matters and wider people projects.

The main responsibilities:

• Provide practical, commercially focused advice across employee relations, employment legislation and general HR matters.


• Support the team with disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and other complex employee relations cases.


• Review current HR processes and implement practical improvements.


• Develop policies, contracts, HR toolkits and supporting documentation.


• Advise managers on recruitment, onboarding, probation, performance management and offboarding.


• Support wider projects across culture, engagement and HR systems.


• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on more complex HR queries.

The successful candidate:

• Similar experience across HR and employee relations.


• Strong working knowledge of NI employment legislation and HR best practice.


• Confident advising managers and senior stakeholders on complex people matters in an NI organisation.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex matters clearly.


• CIPD qualified, ideally at Level 7, or willing to work towards this.


• A full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
