Job summary

MCS Group is seeking an HR Advisor to join a well-established Belfast organisation on a part-time basis. You will support employees and managers across Northern Ireland, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

The role covers a broad generalist remit including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and payroll support, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality and professional handling of sensitive situations. This is a part-time, permanent role with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• CIPD or equivalent qualification is required.
• Recent HR experience in a generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of UK/NI employment law.
• Solid employee relations experience including disciplinaries and grievances.
• Good generalist HR knowledge.
• Private sector experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using HRIS.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a part-time opportunity with a broad generalist remit?

I'm currently recruiting for an HR Advisor to join an established organisation in Belfast, supporting employees and managers across NI, GB and ROI.

The Role

This is a varied HR role covering a broad range of generalist activity, including:

• Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
• Managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and probation
• Supporting employee relations including disciplinary, grievance and performance cases
• Preparing contracts, letters and HR documentation
• Advising on HR policies and employment legislation
• Supporting payroll and employee benefits
• Maintaining accurate HR records and reporting
• Coordinating training and development activity
• Supporting the improvement of a new HRIS & LMS
• Contributing to engagement, wellbeing and wider HR initiatives

About You

• CIPD or relevant qualification
• Previous, recent HR experience
• Strong knowledge of UK and/or NI employment law
• Solid employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance and performance management
• Good generalist HR knowledge
