Job summary

SYLO | Beyond HR is seeking a Senior HR Consultant to join our consultancy team. You’ll manage a portfolio of clients, providing strategic and hands-on HR support to business owners and leaders.

You’ll advise on employee relations, TUPE, and organisational change, delivering training and developing practical people strategies. This role is hybrid with regular travel to client sites across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Strong generalist HR experience in consultancy or multi-client environments.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
• Experience with TUPE, redundancy and organisational change.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice across the full employee lifecycle.
• Manage complex employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance).
• Advise on redundancy, restructure and TUPE processes.
• Support absence management, family-friendly rights and flexible working.
• Conduct HR audits and review policies, processes and compliance.
• Help clients develop practical people strategies aligned to business goals.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, probation and performance processes.
• Design and deliver HR and people-focused training.
• Advise on reward, pay and benefits.
• Support employment law updates and implementation.
• Deliver HR projects from policy development to organisational change.
• Act as a trusted sounding board for business owners and leadership teams.
