Job summary

4Recruitment Services is recruiting for an HR Consultant role based in Sheffield. The post offers a full-time, 37-hour week (9:00–17:00), with a 1-year fixed term contract within Sheffield City Council's HR Service.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a senior HR Advisory, HR Consultant, or HR Business Partner.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting managers in a large, complex organisation.
• Experience of organisational change, consultation, policy development and workforce planning.
• Excellent communication, influencing, coaching and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret workforce data and use insights for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice across employee relations matters.
• Support managers through organisational change initiatives.
• Deliver risk-based HR consultancy aligned with policies and legislation.
• Develop and review HR policies and people management practices.
• Build relationships with managers, Trade Unions and stakeholders.
• Support employee engagement, equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Contribute to HR projects and service improvement.
• Mentor colleagues and provide technical HR advice.
