Job summary

South Yorkshire Police in Sheffield is seeking an HR Advisor in the HR and Learning Department. You will deliver professional HR advice to leaders on the employee lifecycle, build relationships, and interpret policy and employment law to mitigate risk.

Under the HR Manager, you will support workforce planning, complex case management, and policy development, with a hybrid working model and travel across sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
• Strong advisory capability on complex people issues including attendance, performance and capability.
• Solid understanding of employment law and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional HR advice to SYP leaders across the employee lifecycle.
• Support workforce planning and policy interpretation.
• Manage complex cases with timely progression and stakeholder engagement.
• Support delivery of the Force People Strategy and transformation workstreams.
