Job summary

Wheatley Group, Scotland's leading housing, care and property management group, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a permanent role in Glasgow with 35 hours per week and a flexible hybrid working pattern. Salary is £52,176 – £56,270 DOE.

Joining Wheatley’s established People Services function, you’ll manage a varied employee relations caseload, provide legally sound advice to managers and work collaboratively with trade unions in a large, unionised organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience handling complex employee relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and fair process.
• Ability to support managers with credible, legally sound advice.
• Proven ability to work with trade unions and senior leaders.
• Resilience, empathy and strong listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and dismissal matters.
• Providing confident, legally sound advice and constructive challenge to managers and senior leaders.
• Working with recognised trade unions to navigate employee relations matters.
• Proactively managing attendance and identifying underlying issues for improvement.
• Coaching managers to strengthen confidence and capability in handling people matters.
• Contributing to organisational change, policy development and broader HR improvements.
