About the role:

We are currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our HR and Payroll department at The Bedford College Group.

As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play an important role in the success of our students through:

  1. HR Advice and Support: Deliver high-quality HR advice, support employee relations, and act as an expert in HR matters, including complex cases and strategic initiatives.
  2. Employee Relations Management: Manage employee relations, handle casework, provide timely advice to line managers, and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  3. HR Administration and Compliance: Ensure accurate administration of the employee lifecycle, maintain HR records, comply with GDPR, and support HR projects and initiatives.
  4. Professional Development and Team Collaboration: Share best practices, contribute to team development, participate in training, and support the achievement of team objectives.
  5. College-Wide Responsibilities: Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, follow health and safety requirements, and participate in college events and meetings.

About you:

  1. Qualifications and Experience: CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards Level 5, extensive knowledge and experience in Employee Relations, and GCSEs in English and Maths.
  2. Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft, effective communication, and organizational skills.
  3. Values and Attributes: Commitment to college values (Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, Health & Safety), maintaining confidentiality, and promoting continuous improvement in HR practices.
  4. Professional Development: Self-motivated, enthusiastic, results-focused, and proactive in supporting team colleagues and participating in training and development.
  5. Flexibility and Compliance: Ability to travel to other college sites, adapt working hours, support college events, and maintain professional boundaries with children and young people.
