Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor within our Exeter-based HR team, reporting to the HR Manager.

You will be working in a very fast-paced environment and will be accountable for providing front-line HR and Employee Relations policy and process advice to Howmet’s employees and managers. This role requires someone with experience in delivering a professional HR service, preferably in a manufacturing environment or similar.

The successful candidate will need to be highly resilient, used to working under pressure, organized, and possess a detailed knowledge of employee relations, HR processes, policies, and systems, while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, best practices, and internal procedures to support business operations effectively.

Key responsibilities:
  1. HR Policy, Process, and System Queries
  2. Be the first point of contact for all employees, supervisors, and site/department managers for people matters, providing professional front-line advisory support on HR policies, processes, and systems, aiming to resolve issues at first contact.
  3. Respond to queries via phone, face-to-face, email, and written communication.
  4. Support review, update, and implementation of existing HR policies and procedures, including forms, in line with employment legislation and best practices.
  5. Assist in preparing HR policies for employee access on internal drives.
