Hunter Savage in Belfast is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join a leading professional services firm. You will act as a trusted advisor across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with Belfast partners and HRBP teams to deliver a proactive, commercially focused HR service.

The role offers broad generalist responsibilities, including workforce planning, performance management, onboarding, payroll changes, and HR reporting, with development opportunities within a global HR function.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor.
• Experience in professional services, financial services or legal sectors.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee relations and best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on HR support to the Belfast office.
• Be the first point of contact for partners, managers and employees on HR matters.

• Support recruitment with Talent Acquisition.
• Manage onboarding, probation reviews and lifecycle processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a high-performing organisation and play a key role in delivering a proactive, commercially focused HR service.

Working closely with the Belfast partners and wider HR Business Partner teams, the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor across the full employee lifecycle, supporting managers and employees across a broad range of people matters. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to wider firmwide HR projects and initiatives.

The Role

• Reporting into the wider HR function, you will provide hands-on HR support to the Belfast office
• Acting as the first point of contact and trusted advisor to partners, managers and employees on all HR-related matters
• Providing guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, HR policies and best practice
• Supporting managers with performance reviews, probation processes and employee development
• Managing employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding and probation reviews
• Supporting recruitment activity alongside the Talent Acquisition team, including stakeholder management and role requirements
• Managing flexible working arrangements, parental leave processes and employee wellbeing initiatives
• Supporting absence management processes including return-to-work meetings, occupational health referrals and reasonable adjustments
• Working closely with People Operations teams to ensure accurate employee records, contracts and payroll changes
• Producing HR reports, management information and insights to support decision making
• Supporting annual appraisal, salary review, bonus and promotion processes
• Contributing to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

The Person

• Previous experience working in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor role
• Experience within professional services/ financial services/ legal environment would be highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee relations and employment best practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
• Experience using HR systems and employee databases
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• A proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine interest in supporting people and culture initiatives
