Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking an HR Advice and Support Lead (Employee Relations) to provide expert ER guidance and end-to-end case management to managers. You will influence policy, deliver training, and support continuous improvement of the ER service in a hybrid working environment.

The role requires CIPD Level 5 or equivalent and strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and resilience. The position sits within the HR Operations team and partners with Legal Services and Health

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in a related field or HR
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent, supported by HR experience
• Advising and influencing on HR and employee relations matters in a customer-focused environment
• Being a local expert with credibility on employment legislation and HR policy
• Excellent communications to influence at all levels and foster collaborative working relationships
• Motivated, resilient, with a proactive can-do approach focused on results
• Contributing to review of employment policy and development of ER policy training

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive HR advisory services on employment legislation and ER policy in a matrix structure
• Support the progression and delivery of employee relations policies and procedures
• Work with HR Business Partner network, Health Safety and Wellbeing, and Legal Services to coordinate ER services
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the ER service
• Support Appeals and Employment Tribunal processes with Legal Services as needed
