Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains is seeking an experienced HPC systems administrator in the United Kingdom to own the reliability and performance of our HPC platforms used for simulation and engineering workloads.

You will administer Linux-based clusters, troubleshoot across hardware, OS, network, storage and user workflows, and implement automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell and Ansible. The role focuses on capacity, performance and service improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux-based HPC clusters and shared services.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, OS, network, storage and user workflows.
• Experience with capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, availability and performance of HPC platforms.
• Improve compute, storage, networking and scheduling services.
• Provide technical escalation for HPC incidents and bottlenecks.
• Automate operational tasks with scripting and automation tools.
• Translate user requirements into practical service improvements.
