Job summary

The Wallich in Bridgend is seeking a Housing Support Worker to coordinate residential and floating support for priority needs homeless people. The role provides housing-related support within temporary accommodation as a safe alternative to Bed and Breakfast arrangements, promoting independence and sustainable move-on.

You will work to empower service users, addressing housing and personal difficulties, building skills and confidence, and ensuring a supportive, person-centred service.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Driving licence and own vehicle essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate residential and floating support to enable individuals to address housing and personal difficulties, build skills and confidence, and move-on towards independent accommodation.
• Ensure delivery of a safe, secure and effective housing support service within temporary accommodation and across Bridgend.
