Job summary

The Wallich in Wales is seeking a dedicated night-time support worker to cover a 19:00-07:00 shift on a 3 on/3 off rota, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The role operates in Maesteg and Bridgend, providing a proactive presence and ensuring calm, safe occupancy for residents.

Responsibilities include responding to disturbances, emergencies and housing management needs, with support for lone working and out-of-hours resource arrangement.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Driving Licence and own vehicle essential.
• Experience with housing management/out of hours work beneficial.

Project Description

The projects operate in Maesteg and Bridgend working with young people (18-21). The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals' needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.

Purpose of Role

To provide a proactive night time presence within the projects to promote quiet and peaceful occupation of its residents/visitors. To respond to disturbances, emergencies and other housing management functions according to procedure and provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand. To assist with the organisations lone working and arrangement of out of hours resources.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

Please note: Driving Licence and use of own vehicle is essential
