Job summary

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Senior Housing Options Advisor to lead a team of Housing Options Advisers and deliver high-quality housing advice and homelessness services across the district. The role involves leadership, collaboration with partners, and developing prevention initiatives to reduce homelessness.

Office-based with locations across North Northamptonshire, you will supervise staff, manage complex cases, and shape service delivery while maintaining excellent customer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent housing qualification.
• Experience at a senior officer level in local authority, housing association or voluntary sector.
• Extensive knowledge of Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act and related guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Housing Options Advisers.
• Drive homelessness prevention initiatives and innovative approaches.
• Manage a personal caseload of complex homelessness cases.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and ensure high standards of customer care.
• Coordinate service delivery across multiple locations and partners.
• Support budget monitoring and development of new policies and practices.
