Job summary

Housing Association is seeking a Senior Housing Officer on a temporary basis for about three months. The role focuses on delivering empathetic, resident-centered housing management, including regular home visits and timely issue resolution.

This position works with tenants in their communities to sustain tenancies and maintain safe, well-managed homes. The role is 100% based in the office and on-site, with pay rates of £23.07 PAYE per hour or umbrella rate £30.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or social housing is desirable.
• Ability to communicate empathetically with residents.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive housing management to residents and resolve issues.
• Maintain regular contact with residents via meetings and updates.
• Coordinate with customer service and asset teams to support tenancies.
• Manage void properties and ensure lettings procedures are followed.
• Support safeguarding and liaise with external authorities as needed.
• Oversee debts and service charges, ensuring accurate accounting.
• Oversee void properties to the standard required and issue work orders for repairs
• Follow lettings procedures with a clear audit trail
• Identify support needs and partner with the right organisations at tenancy start
• Process landlord repair requests via Workwise and ensure resident satisfaction
• Authorize work orders within budget and coordinate with Asset Management for complex repairs
• Handle income collection and debt management to keep service charges transparent
• Set service charges with input from the central service team and meet residents’ needs
• Meet residents in their homes to understand future needs and arrange required repairs
• Role is 100% office-based with on-site activities
• This role pays £23.07 PAYE umbrella rate £30.50
