Job summary

St Mungo's is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead its Housing First Service in Hackney. Based at Lansdowne Drive, you will oversee a small team delivering person-centred support to up to 18 clients, aligned with Housing First principles.

You will drive performance, manage budgets, and build strong partnerships with commissioners and providers to secure sustainable, high-impact services for people experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contracts and SLAs, and building relationships with commissioners.
• Track record leading frontline teams within homelessness, housing, outreach, or community services.
• Experience managing and developing staff to deliver results through others.
• Strong financial management, including budget planning, monitoring and accountability.
• Ability to develop effective pathways and partnerships to achieve positive change.
• Excellent analytical skills with data reporting for diverse audiences.
• Commitment to Housing First and safe, stable housing for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Housing First Workers, creating a high-performing service culture.
• Ensure the service delivers high-quality, person-centred support aligned with Housing First.
• Drive service performance, quality and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with commissioners, housing providers and partners.
• Contribute to strategic development of Housing First services.
• Represent the service in partnership forums, conferences, and evaluations.
• Manage service budgets and resources to stay sustainable and impactful.
• Monitor, analyse and report on service performance.
