Job summary

St Mungo's in the West London and West of England Directorate is seeking a dynamic Service Development Manager on a fixed-term contract ending 2 December 2027 (maternity cover). You will lead change, drive contract mobilisation, and support teams across the region.

You will analyse data, standardise processes, engage communities and stakeholders, and help implement organisation-wide initiatives. Travel across the region with some home-working is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in service development, project management or service improvement within housing, homelessness or a related sector.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
• Confidence analysing data and using insights to drive decision-making and service improvements.
• Experience supporting organisational change, service mobilisation or implementation projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead change and support teams across the West London and West of England Directorate.
• Assist with new business development, contract mobilisation and implementation.
• Gather and analyse data across the directorate and standardise internal processes and reporting systems.
• Provide support to St Mungo’s services across the West Region and organisation-wide initiatives (e.g., Rent Collections Procedure and hostel model work).
• Engage communities, map referral pathways and maintain inclusive service discussions with stakeholders.
• Train staff on homelessness legislation and prevention strategies, and support transitional changes.
