Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Housekeeper for the Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) Triage at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, welcoming patient environment and supporting the nursing team with delivering meals and beverages.

Candidates should be proactive with strong organisational and communication skills, able to work well with the housekeeping team across SEU wards, and committed to delivering compassionate

Qualifications

• Literate, articulate and numerate.
• Effective use of spoken English.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Infection Control Policies or ability to undertake training in this area.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Experience in the acute NHS.
• Previous experience as House keeper or in similar role.
• Ability to upscale and communicate effectively verbally and in writing effectively.
• Good team player.
• Demonstrates initiative and ability to prioritise.
• Flexible and adaptable in his/her work to situations.

Responsabilités

• Work as an integral part of the ward team ensuring a high quality service to patients and liaise with nursing team, patients and families.
• Keep unit clean and tidy, assist with ordering food and beverages for patients, ensure stock is adequately ordered and tidied away, work as part of a housekeeper team across the SEU wards.
• Regular audits, supporting nursing team, reporting and maintenance of area including equipment.
