Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for the Neonatal Unit. You will uphold high standards of cleanliness, support infection prevention, manage stores and linen, and assist with equipment cleaning.

Under the nurse in charge, you will supervise Nursery Support Workers, collaborate with facilities, stores and estates, and plan workload to maintain a safe, compassionate care environment seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Literate, articulate and numerate.
• Effective spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of COSHH and infection control policies.
• Experience dealing with the public and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide 7 day a week housekeeper cover for the neonatal unit.
• Co-ordinate with the Nursery Support Worker team and lead in practice on areas of the role.
• Supervise the Nursery Support Worker team and ensure infection control policy compliance.
• Liaise with facilities, stores, linen services and other departments; report deficiencies.
