Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Assistant Accountant to join the on-site finance team at a flagship Belfast hotel. You will support day-to-day transactional processing and financial control across the venue for an international hotel brand.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help with month-end, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue reconciliations and payroll, while coaching junior staff and maintaining strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/hospitality finance preferred.
• Accounts assistant or transactional finance role experience.
• Confident liaising with department heads and stakeholders.
• Organised, deadline-driven with varied workload.
• Strong Excel skills across multiple systems including Sage Line 50.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Own month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate items.
• Assist with P&L reviews and provide analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Review daily revenue and reconcile discrepancies across hotels.
• Reconcile cash, bank, credit card and other control accounts.
• Oversee accounts payable including supplier invoices and payment runs.
• Support accounts receivable and credit control; payroll reconciliations.
• Train and coach Accounts Assistants and cover Finance Manager when needed.
