Job summary

JCO Healthcare is seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a 52-bed nursing home for older people in Romford. You will oversee operations, ensure high-quality resident care, and drive regulatory compliance while managing budgets and occupancy.

As a senior leader, you will develop a multidisciplinary team, uphold standards, and influence service development within a values-driven care group. A Level 5 Leadership qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experienced Home Manager within a nursing home environment.
• Proven track record of leading CQC-regulated services.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, safeguarding and quality assurance.
• Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and occupancy.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent.
• Nursing qualification not essential; previous management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the service.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead, motivate and develop the management and care teams.
• Oversee safeguarding, care planning and risk management processes.
• Manage budgets, occupancy and commercial performance.
• Lead internal audits and preparation for external inspections.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
• Promote a culture focused on quality, dignity and resident wellbeing.
• Deliver continuous improvement and outstanding care outcomes.
