Job summary

Valley Academy in Bradford is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our academy on a full-time, permanent basis. The HLTA will complement teachers’ delivery of the curriculum, support staff, pupils and academy policies, and help with planning, resources and assessment. Hours are negotiable between 32.5 and 37 per week.

Responsibilities

• Complement teachers' delivery of the curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils and academy policies and strategies.
• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Provide support for pupil welfare and support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of academy life.
