Job summary

Uniform Education is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a dedicated SEN school in the KT24 Leatherhead area, starting immediately. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or capable SEN TA to take on greater responsibility within a specialist setting.

You will support teaching and learning across the school, work with teachers and the SEN team, deliver activities, lead groups, provide targeted 1:1 support, and help students access the curriculum with

Qualifications

• DBS on Update Service (UDS) - essential
• Right to Work in the UK - essential
• Must not require sponsorship
• Experience with children/young people, ideally in SEN
• Available for an immediate start

Responsibilities

• Supporting and delivering learning activities under direction of teaching staff
• Leading small-group and, where appropriate, whole-class activities
• Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and develop independence
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
• Helping create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment
• Monitoring pupil engagement and feeding back to teaching staff
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
