Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a confident SEN HLTA to support pupils aged 4-19 in a specialist SEN setting in London Borough of Southwark. You will work with teachers and therapists to lead small-group and whole-class activities, deliver targeted interventions and cover lessons as needed.

Experience as an HLTA within SEN and supporting pupils with autism, SLD, PMLD or complex needs is desirable. A proactive, inclusive approach will help pupils progress toward EHCP outcomes and develop

Qualifications

• HLTA within an SEN setting is essential or highly desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with autism, SLD, PMLD or complex needs is desirable.
• Confident in leading lessons, interventions and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group and whole-class learning activities across 4–19-year-olds.
• Deliver targeted interventions and provide cover for lessons when required.
• Support pupils toward EHCP outcomes and promote independence.
• Contribute to a structured, inclusive learning environment with therapists and teachers.

SEN HLTA - Southwark - SEN School - £120-£150 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start

• SEN HLTA - Previous experience working as a HLTA within an SEN setting required
• SEN HLTA - Experience supporting pupils with autism, SLD, PMLD or complex needs desirable
• SEN HLTA - Must be confident leading lessons, delivering interventions and supporting behaviour
• SEN HLTA - Required full time ASAP

The Role - SEN HLTA

Seeking a confident and proactive SEN HLTA to support pupils aged 4-19 within a specialist SEN setting. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to lead small-group and whole-class learning activities, deliver targeted interventions and provide cover for lessons when required. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and associated communication needs. You will help pupils work towards their EHCP outcomes, promote independence, support positive behaviour and contribute to a structured and inclusive learning environment.
