Job summary

Prospero Teaching Bristol is seeking experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) for flexible hours across Bristol schools. The role offers immediate starts and a day rate of 110 per day, with PAYE or Umbrella payroll options.

You'll support teachers, lead small groups, and assist with planning and interventions. Essential: 24 months of referenceable work history in the last 5 years, DBS Update Service, and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or substantial HLTA-level experience.
• Experience working in UK schools.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Minimum 24 months of referenceable work history within the last 5 years.
• Professional references from company/professional email addresses.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, reliable and proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Lead small group interventions and targeted learning activities.
• Deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and classroom organisation.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to support pupil progress.
