The role focuses on advanced histology dissection within a busy, cross-site environment handling complex specimens and supporting a large specialist centre.

You will join the Senior Biomedical Scientist dissection team, provide guidance, take on rostering and staff development responsibilities, and participate in on-call rotas while upholding

Qualifications

• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and HCPC guidelines compliance.
• Post-registration specialist training per IBMS guidelines.
• MSc/IBMS Level 7 qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Join the Senior Biomedical Scientist dissection team in histology specimen receptions/ dissection rooms.
• Provide specialist advice to staff and service users; rostering, training and performance management.
• Maintain health and safety standards; participate in on-call rota and develop the service.
• Support CPD and contribute to quality management activities.
