Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Dissector or Trainee to join the busy dissection team in the Histology service. The role supports a growing workload across CWPS and involves working at UHCW and South Warwickshire NHS sites with rotational shifts between early and late starts.

The successful candidate will hold HCPC registration and IBMS DEP in Dissection, or be eligible as a Trainee with HCPC registration and relevant dissection experience.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required for registration to practice.
• IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice (DEP) in Dissection is required for the Specialist role.
• Trainee will have HCPC registration and experience in dissection at band 6 level.
• IBMS DEP in dissection is to be gained during the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform, allocate and supervise tasks for delivery of a diagnostic histology service.
• Analyse and select clinical samples to support accurate patient care and efficient resource use across CWPS sites.
