Job summary

You will work under HCPC registration, maintain ongoing CPD, and collaborate with clinicians to prioritise workloads, delivering a patient-centered service with continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as Biomedical Scientist is required.
• IBMS Diploma of Expert Practice including GI module is preferred.
• MIBMS or FIBMS membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform macroscopic description, dissection and block sampling to support histological reporting.
• Assist in delivering a quality, patient-centred pathology service.
• Prioritise workload to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Provide resilience in dissection and cover RCPath categories C–E during training.
• Engage with senior leadership and clinical teams to support patient care.
• Undertake CPD and clinical audit as required.
