Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking a Senior Highways Inspection Officer to lead a team of Highway Inspectors and maintain a safe, reliable highway network across the borough. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and a salary of £39,526 to £43,613 per annum.

You will report to the Highways Contract and Maintenance Manager, manage inspections, plan maintenance, and respond to enquiries. A current driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Highway Safety Inspector (C&G 6033/LANTRA) with NRSWA accreditation.
• Knowledge of highway legislation, inspection regimes and Section 81 processes.
• Experience managing works orders, contractors and budgets.
• Experience with asset management systems such as Confirm or Street Manager.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to lead a team.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a team of Highway Inspectors to deliver inspections and performance targets.
• Undertake planned and reactive highway safety inspections and arrange remedial actions.
• Manage maintenance activities, contractor performance and budgets.
• Investigate customer enquiries, complaints and highway incidents.
• Support asset management, highway claims investigations, utility coordination and emergency response.
