Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to join the Basingstoke team. You will deliver highway design projects to the highest standards across feasibility through to detailed design, working within the highways sector.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Highways Engineering, chartered or working towards chartership, and a full driving licence. You will supervise colleagues, prepare drawings and estimates, and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver innovative maintenance

Qualifications

University degree in Civil/Highways Engineering or Transportation.
Chartered (CEng/IEng) or working towards chartership with ICE/CIHT/IHE.
Full driving licence and CSCS/SMSTS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Undertake feasibility, preliminary and detailed design of highway schemes to DMRB and local authority standards using AutoCAD.
Collaborate with other design disciplines in Common Data Environments and provide design support.
Prepare fee estimates, programmes, tender and contract documents and oversee technical drawings and calculations.
Maintain client and authority relationships and assist in supervising team members.
