Job summary

Kier is seeking a Senior Highways Design Engineer to join our Highways Design team in Salford. You will help deliver highway designs for the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework and work within the Civil Engineering team to produce drawings, reports and documentation in line with the brief, timescales and budget.

Your day-to-day will include preparing preliminary and detailed designs for local and national authorities, delivering technical studies, assessing risks and costs, and

Qualifications

• Member of a professional body (IEng/CEng) or working towards
• Experience with civil engineering design software, preferably AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed highway designs for local and national authorities
• Deliver technical drawings, reports and supporting documentation
• Conduct site investigations and analyze data
• Mentor junior staff and support delivery targets
• Maintain client relations and promote health and safety
